The Mayo U17 hurlers suffered defeat this afternoon at the hands of Roscommon in the first round of the Celtic Challenge.
Despite hitting the game’s first goal, Mayo were five down at the break, 0-9 1-1.
Roscommon pushed on in the second half, adding a goal to win by eight in the finish.
