Turlough 8k

There was a large turnout of runners, joggers and walkers at The National Museum of Ireland at Turlough Park for the 13th annual Turlough 8k on Sunday last.(February 16).

 

Parke Keelogues Crimlin GAA, Parke Keelogues Crimlin LGFA, Mayo AC, The National Museum of Ireland at Turlough Park and Mayo Mental Health Association – all partnered to promote this the annual event.
The challenging 8k course starts and finishes in the grounds of Turlough Park, passes by Turlough Round Tower,  and goes on through Parke and Turlough, returning via Turlough Village to the finish line at Turlough House.
Running conditions were favourable, and some excellent times were recorded. There was a large turnout of runners, including many club athletes from Mayo AC, joggers and walkers – 423 in total – ensuring the event was a great success.
Congratulations to all of the prizewinners, and all who participated.
