Sligo GAA Chairperson steps down

Sligo GAA has confirmed that Sean Carroll has stepped down from his role as the county board’s Chairperson.

The Coolera Strandhill clubman has spent the past 4 and a half years in the role.

It was confirmed at a meeting of the Sligo GAA County Executive yesterday evening that Vice Chairperson Noel Gallagher, from the Castleconnor club, will take the Chair on an interim basis pending a full meeting of the County Committee.

That meeting will take place later this month.
