John Murphy is the latest candidate to join the race to become the new GAA President.
The Tubbercurry native was last night nominated by delegates at the Sligo GAA Convention.
Murphy is a former footballer with the Yeats County and served as Connacht GAA President in recent years.
Wexford’s Derek Kent and Ger Ryan of Tipperary are already in the running to succeed Jarlath Burns, with the vote set to take place at Congress in February.
