Eddie Maguire almost reclaimed his Spanish Blind Golf Open Championship crown last week, just falling short to finish second.
The former Mayo footballer competed on a field of 25 blind and visually impaired golfers from all over the world.
The retired school teacher took a 3 shot advantage into the final day but was pipped for top spot after a difficult back 9.
However, his second place finish at the Maspolomas Golf Club in Gran Canaria continues a very good run on the international front for the Navan resident.
Eddie’s next big outing will be in the British Open at the Cartrona Golf Club in the north of Edinburgh.
