Roscommon remain on the hunt for first league win after seven point defeat to Dublin

Roscommon suffered defeat to Dublin this evening in the Allianz National Football League Division 1.

In Croke Park, All Ireland champions Dublin ran out x point winners.

A tight first half left just one point between the teams at the break, with Brian Fenton edging Dublin in front – 0-8 0-7.

Dublin started the  second half well, with a four point lead built up after 55 mins.

It was after this that Niall Scully got the opening goal of the game to push the Dubs seven ahead.

Roscommon battled well to get back into the game, with Enda Smith hitting the net on 64 mins to bring the margin back to five.

Con O’Callghan finished up with 0-7, which in turn was the difference between the sides at the full time whistle.

This handed Dublin their first league win this season, while Roscommon have just one point thus far.
