The final round of fixtures takes place in the Allianz National Football League this Sunday.
For the six Connacht teams competing this weekend, three have the ability to make a league final.
We’ll have LIVE commentary of Mayo v Donegal on Sunday, with updates from Galway v Kerry, Roscommon v Westmeath, and Sligo v Leitrim.
Here are the permutations for each county heading into the final round:
Mayo:
Currently fourth in the table, Kevin McStay’s side could still be in a league final or relegated come Sunday night.
Victory over Donegal will put Mayo into the top three, and if either Galway or Dublin lose then Mayo are in the league final.
If Mayo lose and Kerry, Tyrone and Armagh all win then Mayo could be playing Division 2 next season – but it will come down to scoring difference.
Galway:
Padraic Joyce’s men are top of the table, guaranteed Division 1 football next season, and a win will almost guarantee a spot in the league final.
It’s more straight forward for Galway, but if they do lose to Kerry then they could miss out on a league final place.
Roscommon:
Beating bottom of the table Westmeath will put Davy Burke’s men on to 10 points, yet victories for Meath (3rd) and Cavan (4th) will at least put three teams on to the same amount of points.
It looks like one of not two league final places (and promotion) in Division 2 will come down to scoring difference.
Roscommon have a +18 scoring difference, eight ahead of Meath and 22 in front of Cavan.
Sligo:
Tony McEntee’s men just need to beat Leitrim to guarantee Division 3 football next year.
Lose, and Antrim could leapfrog them into safety.
Sligo could well finish fourth if other results go their way.
Leitrim:
After the recent controversy of conceding last weekend’s game against Fermanagh, Steven Poacher’s Leitrim will be looking to put in a strong performance to round off a poor campaign.
They are winless heading to Markievicz Park, and will play Division 4 next season.
London:
The Exiles are second from bottom in Division 4.
Michael Maher’s side could go as high as fourth in the table, with a win over Sunday’s opponents Carlow.
They’ll be hoping for a good performance heading into the Connacht championship.
