Mayo’s Ryan O’Donoghue has been named the PwC GAA/GPA Football Player of the Month for July following his outstanding performances during the county’s All-Ireland winning campaign.
The full forward was instrumental in Mayo’s semi-final victory over Louth, scoring 1-11, before producing another influential display in the final against Kerry.
O’Donoghue also played a key role in setting up Darragh Beirne’s goal with a powerful run through the Kerry defence and finished the decider with five points.
The award recognises his outstanding contribution during a historic month for Mayo football.
