Mayo FC have announced the signing of Noe Baba ahead of their first season in the National League.
A commanding defender and midfielder, Noe arrives with an outstanding footballing CV, having progressed through the academies of Fulham FC and Birmingham City before playing professionally in England, Germany and Ireland with Macclesfield Town, Waterford FC, Lupo Martini Wolfsburg, Fortuna Köln, KFC Uerdingen, Finn Harps and most recently Athlone Town.
Noe was born in Cameroon but moved to Castlebar when he was 10 years old, where he first played with Castlebar Celtic.
He went on to represent the Republic of Ireland at U15, U16, U17, U19 and U21 level, captaining his country at U17 and becoming the first African-born footballer to captain an Irish team.
