Ulster v Connacht - United Rugby Championship Quarter-Final

Connacht veteran Dave Heffernan is excited for the season ahead and loving his rugby under the stewardship of Stuart Lancaster.

The Ballina man signed a two year contract with the province earlier this year and feels he is learning every day under the new regime at Connacht.

The 34 year-old came through the Connacht academy and made his professional debut in March 2012 and has gone on to make over 200 appearances in the following 13 years, putting him 8th in the all-time record appearances list.

Connacht travel to Arms Park on Saturday evening to face Cardiff.

Heffernan says it’s always a difficult place to play as the crowd can be fairly hostile.
