A Mayo dart player has taken one step closer to joining the professional circuit this week.
Ultan McDyer of Castlebar is currently competing in Q-school in Milton Keynes, where he bet Luke Smith of England on a scoreline of five legs to four, with a slightly lower average than his opponent (76.45). That fixture was part of Stage 1, Event 3.
McDyer won all of his Stage 1 games today
He will now take part in Stage 2, a round of 128.
Conor Heneghan of Roundfort was also competing in Q-School this week, however he lost his Stage 1 fixture today vs Daniel Perry (3-5).
