Mayo LGFA have announced a new three-year title sponsorship agreement with AbbVie which will see the company’s name attached to the county’s adult club championship until 2028.
The partnership was officially unveiled at last night’s Championship Launch at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park in Castlebar, with players, managers, and club officials from across the county in attendance.
The Mayo adult club championship is the premier competition on the county’s club calendar, with 39 teams competing across five divisions.
Teams from throughout the county will battle it out for honours, with the competition providing a platform for the best of Mayo’s women’s club football.
The 2026 championship will be the first time the Mayo adult competition has carried a title sponsor’s name, with AbbVie set to remain as title sponsor for the 2026, 2027 and 2028 seasons.
The agreement also links Mayo LGFA with AbbVie, which has had a presence in the Mayo community for several decades and is a major employer in the county.
