Mayo v Cavan - GAA Football All-Ireland Senior Championship Round 1

The Mayo GAA Annual convention will take place on Sunday in St. John’s Centre in Knock.

There is set to be only one change at the top table with John Walker’s term as communications officer completed.

Former Mayo GAA PRO Paul Cunnane looks set to be elected to the position as the Davitt’s man is the only candidate nominated for the role.

The only contest on Sunday will be for the two Connacht Council positions.

Liam Moffatt, Paddy McNicholas and John Walker are the three men battling it out for the two spots.

The following roles are set to become vacant and are to be filled: Planning and Training Officer, Safety Officer, Cultural Officer, Health and Wellbeing Officer, Children’s Officer, Demographics Officer, and Hurling Chairperson.

There are also a number of motions to be discussed and voted on the day as well.

Sunday’s convention gets underway at 12 noon.
