Loftus back in the Mayo Panel

Dublin v Mayo - GAA Football All-Ireland Senior Championship Round 3

As Mayo prepare for their National League Division One opener against Galway on Sunday afternoon, Andy Moran’s plans for the side are taking clearer shape, with many players returning after time away from the team.

On Sunday, following defeat to Galway in the FBD League Cup final, Mayo Selector Colm Boyle confirmed that Crossmolina’s Conor Loftus would be returing for the league panel.

The Deel Rovers man stepped away from the setup for last year, following an extended club season which saw Deel Rovers crowned All-Ireland Intermediate Champions, back in January of last year.

Over the past few months, it has already been announced that Cillian O’Connor, Rob Hennelly, Michael Plunkett and James Carr are all returning to the county fold.

Mayo’s league opener throws-in this Sunday coming, at 1:45pm. Cork’s Conor Lane has been named as referee for the tie.

We will have a live commentary here on Midwest Radio, with Michael D McAndrew and Martin Carney describing the action for us in Salthill.
