Leitrim team named for historic Mayo meeting

Leitrim ladies manager  Johnny Garrity has named his team for Sunday’s meeting with Mayo in the opening round of the TG4 Connacht LGFA Senior Football Championship.

The Leitrim ladies won the All Ireland Intermediate Championship title last August in Croke Park, and thus are competing in the Connacht campaign this season.

Division 4 promotion did not go to plan for Leitrim this year, as they lost  out in the semi final of the competition to Antrim.

Sunday’s meeting with Mayo will be an historical one, and throws in at 1:00pm at Swinford Amenity Park.
