Leitrim insist they will field a team this weekend

Leitrim football manager Stephen Poacher insists they’ll field a team against Sligo this weekend, even if they only have 17 players for the game.

Poacher’s side handed Fermanagh a walkover last Sunday, citing a lack of available players, and they’ve been relegated to Division Four ahead of the final round of games.

The Leitrim boss says it would have been an act of negligence to play the fixture and risk using members of his panel who are returning from injury.
