The Galway senior hurlers failed to capitalise on a Limerick red card in the first half in their Division 1B meeting this afternoon.

In Pearse Stadium, Shane O’Brien received his marching orders after 25 minutes to give the home side the numerical advantage for the remainder of the game.

Limerick, to their credit, fought hard to reclaim the lead in the game late on and were two points up at the end of normal time.

Two scores in added time from Evan Niland split the points evenly between the sides.
