UL are to face UCC tomorrow in the 2026 Sigerson Cup final. The match is to be held at GAA HQ in Croke Park for the first time in 40 years.
There will be a heavy Mayo presence at tomorrow’s game, particularly within the UL panel. 10 of the players included are from Mayo, representing clubs such as Ballina Stephenites, Moy Davitts and Davitts.
Crossmolina Deel Rovers’ Liam Connor and Lahardane MacHale’s Cathal Finnerty are involved with coaching the Limerick college’s side.
UL earned their place in the final, following an extra-time defeat of Queen’s University Belfast. 24-time champions UCC made the final after knocking out University of Galway. Tomorrow’s match throws in at 7:35pm.
