Kobe McDonald is set to make his return to the GAA field this weekend.
The Crossmolina man, who got an All-Ireland title under his belt last month, has recently made the move to Aussie Rules side St. Kilda.
He joined the team down under on a category B rookie contract, just weeks after Mayo won the Sam Maguire.
However the Mayo man has been cleared to play with Crossmolina in this year’s County Championship, after St. Kilda’s 2026 season came to an end recently, after missing out on the league’s playoffs.
They do not start their pre-season until November.
Crossmolina play Mayo Gaels this Sunday in round three of the Connacht Gold Mayo Senior Football Championship at 1 o’clock.
