Keith Higgins has been ratified as the new Mayo u20 football manager on a two year term.
Mayo GAA County Board delegated ratified the four time All Star at a meeting in Hastings Insurance MacHale Park this evening.
The Ballyhaunis man succeeds Crossmolina’s Peadar Gardiner in the role, a former county team mate.
Knockmore’s Kevin McLoughlin, after a year coaching the Sligo seniors, is part of the backroom team along with another ex-team mate in Ballaghaderreen’s David Drake. Kilmeena’s Mark Ryan is also part of the crew.
Keith Higgins represented Mayo with distinction in both football and hurling, playing in seven All Ireland senior football finals, and won two Nicky Rackard hurling titles.
