International Boxing returns to Geesala on Sunday 14 June, when Geesala Boxing Club in association with the Mayo Boxing Board hosts an Ireland (Mayo selection) v Italian (Bergamo Selection).
Boxing is scheduled to commence at 3pm.
Head coach Pat McDonagh said “it’s a going to be a great opportunity to showcase some of our up and coming young boxers and of course our two newly crowned Irish champions.”
It’s been a very exciting year for Geesala , Club President Gerry Coyle described it as “the year of the Frankie’s” with Frankie Brogan being crown champion earlier in the season and more recently Frank Kirwan winning the super heavyweight title in a very exciting contest in the National Stadium.
