King & Moffatt Dr. Hyde Park, the home of Roscommon GAA, will close for several weeks later this summer for pitch maintenance works.
At a recent County Board meeting, officials heard that the county ground will close on July 1 for eight weeks to facilitate the works.
Plans are in place to scrape off the top few inches of the playing surface, before re-sanding and re-seeding works commence.
The Prunty Pitch was newly laid in 2016, and officially opened in February 2017.
It is hoped that works will be complete in time to host the latter stages of the club championships in September and October.
