Mayo & District Motorsport Club have said they “would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to every resident along the route for allowing this year’s rally to take place.”
It comes as the Mayo Stages Rally for 2026 took place across the weekend.
They went on to say that “your patience, understanding, and warm support are what made this event possible. We know that closing local roads causes disruption, and we sincerely appreciate you allowing us to bring the excitement of motorsport to your doorstep.
The incessant rainfall on Sunday significantly impacted the smooth running of the event and disruption to the extensive clean-up operations, if any area has been overlooked we ask you to please contact Stephen McGing on 085 7239426 and again we thank you, the residents and landowners for your patience, support, and for helping us keep the event safe and enjoyable for everyone.”
Clean up operations were affected over the weekend, due to a yellow rainfall alert being in place at the time.
