Mayo GAA delegates have given the green light, to develop a new state-of-the-art all weather, 4G Astroturf GAA pitch at Hastings Insurance MacHale park.
The plans were outlined at last night’s County Board Meeting in Castlebar.
Speaking at the meeting, Mayo GAA chairperson Seamus Tuohy expressed his gratitude to delegates for their supports on the project.
Mr. Tuohy provided assurance on the night, that there will be no additional financial burden on clubs to pay for the pitch.
The new facility will be located at the “Albany End” of MacHale Park, and will be completed before the start of next season.
