European gold medalist John Shortt has set another national record on the first day of the Irish Winter Swimming Championships in Abbotstown.
The Galway swimmer came home in the 200-metres individual medley in a time of 1-minute, 55-point-8 seconds.
Shortt won gold in the 200-metres backstroke at the European Short Course Championships in Poland last week.
