Galway man in for Footballer of the Week

Galway’s Matthew Thompson has been nominated for Footballer of the Week after an outstanding display against Down yesterday.

Thompson hit 0-5, while David Clifford’s 3-7 against Cavan has also earned a nomination.

Paddy Small completes the nominations list after his 0-4 helped Dublin over the line against Cork.

Thompson has also been included in the Team of the Week alongside team mates Shane Walsh and Sean Kelly.
