It’s Connacht final day, and Mayo will be hoping to land a first Nestor Cup since 2021 when they take on reigning champions Galway this afternoon.
The Tribesmen are going for a fourth Connacht title in a row, which has not been done since Mayo’s five in a row run from 2011 to 2015.
Mayo have named the same team that beat Leitrim in the semi final for today’s game. The notable inclusion to the match day panel is that of captain Paddy Durcan, who has recovered from an ACL injury sustained last May.
For Galway, they will be without Shane Walsh and Damien Comer, while Peter Cooke returns to the panel after missing the entirety of 2024 due to work commitments.
We will have LIVE commentary of today’s game here on Midwest Radio Sunday Sport with Michael D. McAndrew and Colm Boyle on duty.
Throw in at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park is at 4:00pm.
Our coverage is with thanks to Moran’s Pharmacy, New Antrim Street, Castlebar.
