GAA to address demographic challenges

GAA clubs risk losing potential players in growing urban areas if it does not provide accessible clubs and facilities.

That’s according to a new report from the National Demographics Committee launched by the association today.

It also found that 78 percent of GAA clubs are in rural areas with declining populations.

The GAA’s Ard Chomhairle says that two motions will be table at Annual Congress in February to combat dwindling player numbers.
