Galway GAA is mourning the death of former All-Ireland Senior Football medalist Frank Evers.
He was an iconic figure who won an All-Ireland senior football medal with Galway in 1956.
He was a member of An Garda Siochane and also worked with the United Nations.
He was a native of Menlough in north-east Galway, died in Austria on Sunday at the age of 91.
He was a key member of the Galway side, lining out at midfield, that won the 1956 All-Ireland final when they defeated Cork.
