Farrell Names Irish Team For Triple Crown Decider

The Ireland Match Day Squad has been announced by head coach Andy Farrell for Saturday’s Guinness Men’s Six Nations final versus Scotland at a packed Aviva Stadium (kickoff at 2.10pm).

 

Ireland is led by captain Caelan Doris into the Round 5 match.

 

Ireland’s back three consists of Jamie Osborne, Rob Baloucoune, and Tommy O’Brien. Stuart McCloskey and Garry Ringrose are once again listed in the midfield, while Jamison Gibson-Park and Jack Crowley form the half-backs.

 

Joe McCarthy and Tadhg Beirne are in the engine room, while Tom O’Toole, Dan Sheehan, and Tadhg Furlong are listed in the first row of the pack. Ireland’s starting lineup consists of captain Doris at number eight, Josh van der Flier at openside, and Jack Conan at blindside flanker.

 

Connacht’s Darragh Murray is in line for his Six Nations debut off the bench, along with Rónan Kelleher, Michael Milne, Finlay Bealham, and Nick Timoney as the forward substitutes and Craig Casey, Ciaran Frawley, and Bundee Aki as the backline reinforcements, Farrell has many of choices on the bench.
