Eddie Maguire back in British Open this week

Former Mayo and Meath senior footballer, Eddie Maguire, will be playing in his 6^th British Open for blind and visually impaired golfers this week.

This year’s competition takes place at Cardronagh Golf Complex outside of Edinburgh.

The retired school teacher will be aiming to add to his previous victory in Northern Ireland a number of years ago.

Players from 16 countries will be fighting it out on the difficult Scottish highland course, but the Navan resident is confident about his chances.
