The Mayo Minors got back to winning ways last night after victory over Sligo.
David Heaney & Tom Reilly’s men hit the ground running with early goals from Rhys Neary, Oran Murphy and Conor Hession in the opening 13 minutes.
Mayo were 12 points ahead at the break, and kept the scoreboard ticking in the second half to see off the Yeats men.
Conor Davey scored from the penalty spot for Sligo in the dying moments, but Mayo were too far ahead.
Afterwards we got the thoughts of Mayo manager David Heaney.
Elsewhere, Roscommon got the better of Leitrim by two points in Drumshanbo.
Shane Moran’s (Charlestown) Rossies have won all four games in the Connacht Championship, while Mayo face Galway next week in Tuam.
Full time scores:
Mayo 3-19 Sligo 1-10
Leitrim 1-16 Roscommon 2-15
