Munster v Connacht - United Rugby Championship

Connacht Rugby has announced seven players who will not be with the province next season.

JJ Hanrahan and Andrew Smith will move to Munster, while Adam McBurney and John Porch were granted early releases from their contracts during the season to take up playing opportunities elsewhere.

Santiago Cordero will depart after two years at the club, along with Piers O’Conor who joined from Bristol in 2024.

Conor Oliver, who joined in 2020 and made 95 Connacht appearances, will also leave.

Connacht Rugby said, in a statement today, that they would like to thank all the players for their contributions to the club and the province.

“They will always be welcome back to Dexcom Stadium, and as is tradition, supporters will have an opportunity to pay their well-wishes to them after the full-time whistle in Saturday’s game against Edinburgh.”
