Castlebar are Bank of Ireland Junior Plate champions.
The county town side were five point winners over Creggs 2nds in Ballina this afternoon.
Castlebar were much stronger in the scrum & lineout throughout, despite some brilliant Creggs defending.
Paddy Flannelly got Castlebar’s only first half try, going in 5-3 ahead at the break.
Callum Fahy was in form in front of the posts for Creggs, keeping them in it throughout, and even going ahead 9-5.
Keepa Charrington crossed over to put Castlebar ahead again before Fahy swung the lead back in Creggs’ favour.
Simon Staunton crashed down in front of the posts for Castlebar to score the winning try, with Stephen Rogan converting to add insurance.
