Burrishoole GAA Club is delighted to announce its upcoming community fundraising event, “Burrishoole Goes to Hollywood,” taking place on Saturday, 21 February, promising an unforgettable evening of glitz, glamour, entertainment, and community spirit.
12 weeks of fundraising events from Pickleball Marathons to Duck Races sees the event come to a finale next weekend. Supported by so many local businesses, The event will see club members and community participants recreate iconic scenes from a range of much-loved productions, including The Snapper, Sister Act, A Few Good Men, Man About Dog, Bridesmaids, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, and Derry Girls. With involvement from so many members of the club and the wider community, the night is set to showcase the creativity, humour, talent and fun.
Hosting the evening will be popular MC Jimmy Jest, while performances will be judged by a panel featuring TV presenter Gráinne McElwain, entertainer Stephen “Cowboy” Kelly, and acclaimed comedian and presenter Katherine Lynch.
Following the performances, guests will enjoy live music, finger food, and celebrations, ensuring a full night of entertainment for all attendees. Organisers promise a night of Hollywood-style glamour that will bring the entire community together in support of the club.
