It’s been confirmed that the Mayo senior footballers will wear a white jersey in next weekend’s All-Ireland final.
As both side’s home jerseys are predominantly green yesterday a draw took place in the presence of both county secretaries, which Kerry won, meaning that Mayo would have to change jersey for the final.
Kerry’s current home jersey is a darker green and there were concerns that this would still be a colour clash with Mayo’s navy alternative jersey (which they wore against Meath).
The GAA have today confirmed that Mayo will now wear a predominantly white jersey for the decider, similar to the commemoration one they wore against Kerry in the National League this season.
Midwest Radio understands it will not be the commemoration jersey but one slightly akin to it.
