It is being reported today that a big name in Mayo football is to enter management in Dublin club football.
The Mayo News has said that Seamus O’Shea is set to take charge of Dublin stalworth’s Ballymun Kickhams for the 2026 season.
Breaffy man O’Shea spent over a decade in the Mayo football senior squad, winning five Connacht titles and playing in three All-Ireland finals during that time.
He retired from inter-county duty six years ago in 2020 and hung up his club boots soon after.
In recent years, Ballymun have been one of the most successful clubs in Dublin with their last county title coming back in 2020. Last season they were knocked out of the Dublin Senior Championship at the quarter-final stages.
