In the latest chapter of her sporting career, Ballina’s Sarah Rowe has added the Australian A-League Women’s Championship to her list of achievements.
The Central Coast Mariners won their first ever A-League Championship yesterday, beating Melbourne Victory in the grand final on penalties.
Bianca Galic scored the winner for Mariners to win 5-4 on spot kicks.
Sarah Rowe, a former Mayo senior footballer who went to Australia to play in AFLW, played her part for 72 minutes of the final at right back.
