Willie was a lifelong and treasured friend of the Scott family of Liscromwell, Castlebar. He was a valued and dear friend to our father Bill and was very fondly regarded by our mother Kathleen and by all of us — their children, William (RIP), Marilyn, Julie, and Carol and Luke.

Willie’s natural wit and engaging good humour made every encounter with him both enjoyable and truly memorable. He had a rare gift for bringing warmth and kindness wherever he went, and he genuinely made the world a better and nicer place.
