William (Willie) Grifferty

So sorry to hear of Willie’s passing. I didn’t know Willie long, but enjoyed spending time with him and chatting, always impressed by his memory of people and as a newcomer to Ireland, learning about Ireland and how things work here and about who St Patrick was. Willie I hope you are now resting in peace. It was a pleasure to have known you. Sincere condolences to Willie’s family and his closest friends and carers who I know he greatly valued and who I know will miss him a lot.

I was so sorry to learn of the passing of our neighbour Willie. Willie was a lovely neighbour and friend. He will be so missed by all his neighbours in Castlebar. I will miss his chats that we had from the window of his house. I will remember him with great fondness and a huge heart. May he rest in peace. Gone but not forgotten by all who know him. I had the pleasure of knowing him as my neighbour for twenty one years.
