Birchgrove, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway and late of Legga, Moyne, Co Longford – (Sunday, February 15th, 2026) peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Ballinasloe Community Nursing Unit, surrounded by his loving family.
Husband of Mary and dear father of Morgan, David, and Grace (Teefey).
Predeceased by his father Peter, mother Lily, and brother Michael.
Sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughter, son-in-law Philip, daughters in law Breda and Ellen, his adored Grandchildren Seán, Brian, Conor, Andrew & Pearl, Seán, Marcus, Joseph & Emma, brothers Peter, Ollie, John & Martin and his sister Kathleen, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.

Reposing at Grenhams Funeral Home, St Michael’s Square, Townparks, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway, H53T8W9 on Wednesday evening from 5.00pm until 7.00pm.
Requiem Mass on Thursday at 12.00 noon in St Mary’s Church, Legga, N39 XK11.
Interment afterwards in Tubberpatrick, Cemetery.
The family wish to record their appreciation to the staff of Ballinasloe Community Nursing Unit, Creagh and Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe, Roscommon Hospital, Ruth and Claire, the community public health nurse team and the extended home help team for their excellent care and compassion to Liam and family.
