Our Sincere Sympathies to all the Gibbons Family on the recent death of Tommie Francis. He was a founding member of the Community Council in 1976 and served on it with great pride over so many years. No matter what the problem of the day was, Tommie Francis rolled up his sleeves because he believed in having a strong vibrant community for the people and the young people coming through and people in our community always looked up to him with pride and respect. He was ‘Islandeady’. His humour and wit will be missed at meetings, but our community is stronger because of his volunteerism and love for Islandeady! May you Rest in Peace Tommie Francis.
