Glendale, Mons Terrace, Castlebar and formerly of Salthill, Galway and Drimneen, Aughadrina, Castlebar – suddenly in Ballinamore House Nursing Home, Kiltimagh, Co. Mayo (19th March 2025).

Deeply regretted by his loving family, nephews Tim (Wicklow) and Luke (Galway), niece Marie-Clare (Galway), sister-in-law Mary (Galway), cousins, relatives, neighbours, friends and all the carers, staff and friends he met during his time in the Sacred Heart Hospital, Castlebar.

May his gentle Soul rest in peace.

Tom will repose in Coady’s Funeral Home, Castlebar, F23 XY63 on Monday, 24th March from  5.30pm with removal at 7pm the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar.

Requiem Mass is on Tuesday morning at 11a.m. and can also be view live on http://www.chuchtv.ie/castlebar

Tom will be laid to rest afterwards in Castlebar New Cemetery.

Sincere sympathy to all the family on the passing of Tom. I used to get a lift to and from Galway with him many years ago. He was great fun and a real gentleman. I’m sorry that I didn’t know he had been in the Sacred Heart and Ballinamore House Nursing Homes as I would have loved to visit him. May Tom rest in peace.

Tom was a great friend of our Dad, John. They worked together in a previous life and always stayed close. Tom arriving to our kitchen always brought with it a sense of fun. He was always laughing, which was infectious in itself, and there was harmless devilment in him. We have nothing but the very fondest of memories of Tom Gannon, and are terribly sad to see that he has passed. Deepest sympathy to his family.
