Sisters of Mercy, Árd Bhríde, Castlebar, Cranmore Sligo and St. Mary’s Convent Ponsonby, Auckland, New Zealand, died peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Cuan Chaitríona Nursing Home Castlebar, surrounded by members of her family and her Mercy community on 6th March 2026.
Reunited in her heavenly home with her parents, her sister Carmel and the deceased Sisters of Mercy.
Fondly remembered by the Árd Bhríde Community, the Sisters of Mercy Western Branch and the Sisters of Mercy Auckland, New Zealand with whom she shared life for 70 years, her sisters Maura Dunican and Nuala King, brother Noel Brett, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, sister in law Geraldine, brothers in law Sandy and the late Michael, RI.P. and her many friends in Auckland.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
Reposing at Árd Bhríde, Castlebar, H23 W571 on Sunday March 8th from 3.30 to 5pm.
Arrival at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar on Monday March 9th for Mass of the Resurrection at 11.00 a.m, followed by Cremation at Shannon Crematorium.

Sr. Teresa had made arrangements to donate her body to medical science for the purpose of the advancement of medical knowledge, but this wish could not be fulfilled due to circumstances beyond her control.
