Sisters of Mercy, Árd Bhríde, Castlebar and Convent of Mercy, Tuam, Claremorris, Glenamaddy, Louisburgh and Loughrea – died peacefully, in the loving care of the staff of Cuan Chaitríona Nursing Home, Castlebar, surrounded by members of her family and her Mercy community. 31st January 2026,
Reunited in her heavenly home with her parents, Michael and Mary Ann Coen, her brothers Paddy, Jack, Fr. Michael O.D.C. Fr. Charlie, her sisters Ann (O’Malley) and Margaret (King)
Fondly remembered by the Árd Bhríde community and the Sisters of Mercy Western Branch with whom she shared life for 80 years, her sister Sr.Patrice, her brother Anthony, her sisters-in-law Julia and Mary, brother-in-law Martin, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
Reposing at Árd Bhríde, Castlebar, H23 W571 on Tuesday (3rd February) from 3.30 to 5pm.
Arrival at St. Brendan’s Cathedral, Loughrea on Wednesday (4th February) at 10.30a.m for Mass of the Resurrection at 11 o’clock with burial afterwards in the Convent Cemetery, Loughrea.
