Boho, Ballintubber, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon – 18th September 2025, peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff of the Plunkett Community Nursing Home, Boyle.
Predeceased by her husband Austin, sister Patricia McGinty and brother Tom.
Sheila will be sadly missed by her sons, John (Boho) and Austin (Claremorris), daughters Katherine (Knockcroghery), and Julie (Atlanta, USA), beloved grandchildren Clíona and Seán, daughter-in-law Peggy, Katherine’s partner Edward and Julie’s partner Marshall, sisters, Peg Dobey (Lisalway), Dell Verney (Florida), and Catherine Flanagan (Knockalaghta), brothers John (Emlagh) and Jim (Mohill), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and many good friends.
May She Rest In Peace.
Sheila will be reposing at her home (eircode F45D433) on Sunday from 4pm until 7pm.
The funeral will be arriving to St. Bride’s Church, Ballintubber, for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon on Monday.
Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Castlerea (travelling via Boho).
The Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on Gaynor Funeral Director’s Facebook page.
