Toberroe, Glinsk, Co. Galway – peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff at St. Francis’ Nursing Home, Kilkerrin, in her 100th year, with her family by her side – on the 14th March 2025.
Predeceased by her husband Paddy, son-in-law, John McDermott, sisters Annie Smyth and Mae Mahon, brothers John and Paddy.
Sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughters Mary McDermott, Margaret Cassidy and Bernadette, sons PJ (USA), Michael, Martin, Eamon, Joe and Kevin, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and many friends.

Rita will repose in Flanagan’s Funeral Home, Ballymoe on Sunday 16th March from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock with removal afterwards to St. Michael’s Church, Glinsk.
Mass of the Resurrection on Monday, 17th March at 1.30pm followed by burial afterwards in Ballinakill cemetery.
