I was unable to attend the funeral, but watched it online as I reminisced about the many happy and fun days we had around Ballina in the ’80″s and early ’90″s . You gave him a wonderful send off and he would be so proud of you all.

So sad to hear of Peter’s passing from this world. I first met Peter at Behy primary school when we were both 5 years old, and shared classrooms together at Behy and Muredach’s secondary school up to the Leaving cert. I left Ballina permanently soon afterwards and finally ended up in New York where I now reside. I lost track of Peter down through the years until I met him again at our class reunion in June 2018. He was the same old Peter, in great form and as boisterous as ever. I spoke to him on the phone in early January this year, and he unformed me of his medical prognosis, that he had lived a good life and was not afraid to die. Definitely a man of great courage and resilience. I told him that I would pay him a visit when I am at home during the summer and reminisce about the old days, but unfortunately Peter did not wait for my visit . Condolences to his family at this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
