To the Ginty and Daly families, I am so sorry for your loss. Peggy was the most lovely, warm and generous person. I had the pleasure of meeting Peggy during her advocacy work as she championed research to improve outcomes. The importance of Peggy’s family to her and the joy of spending time with her children and grandchildren came into every conversation. Take care of yourselves during this very sad time. May Peggy rest in peace.

Ballycroy Community Council extend our heartfelt condolences to Peggy Ginty’s family, her children Maura, Shane, Fionán and Fionnuala, and to her extended family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

Peggy was a founding member and one of our first directors, giving over 20 years of dedicated service to the Community Council. She was also a tireless leader in Ballycroy Social Services for more than 40 years.

Through her voluntary work, Peggy helped lead one of the most important traditions in our community. After funerals in Ballycroy, volunteers come together to prepare refreshments for mourners, easing the burden on families at a difficult time and ensuring they are cared for as well. This quiet, compassionate work meant so much to so many, and Peggy was at the heart of it for decades.

Peggy also played a central role in Meals on Wheels, the Midday Club and Seniors’ Christmas Parties and Tours, all of which mean so much to so many in our community.

Peggy will be remembered for her kindness, warmth and generosity which touched so many of us. A true community person, always ready to help and bring people together.

May her kind and gentle soul rest in peace.

Peggy had so much to offer the wider world but she made Ballycroy the recipient of her gifts, and this community was truly blessed because of that. Even in her illness, you could she that she carried herself with the same grace and gentle strength that defined her life.
Rest easy in the peace of the Lord, Peggy. May there have been the sweetest joy in reuniting with your mum, with Paddy, Bridgie, Jack, and all who loved you here on earth. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.

Peggy was a truly special lady, full of kindness, warmth and compassion. She was deeply community-minded, always going above and beyond for others, doing so in such a gentle, kind and respectful way. She had a wonderful ability to make everyone feel included and valued and she was always guided by the best of intentions. She had such a great sense of humour and wit ,which made her company all the more enjoyable. I had the pleasure of working with her in the PO for a time and she was an absolute joy to work with, always so kind and welcoming to everyone. She was an incredibly intelligent lady who genuinely cared about people and that shone through in everything she did. She always brought so much positivity and joy to all those who had the privilege of knowing her and her presence will be deeply missed in Ballycroy and beyond.

Heartbroken to hear of the passing of dearest Peggy can’t stop thinking of all of the Heston siblings growing up next door to Paddy and Peggy and how they enriched our lives in every single way we are not able to imagine Dooriel and a life without Peggy always being there ,we are so sorry Maura,Shane,Fionnaun Fionola and to Peggy’s extended family on the loss of your mum RIP may Peggy rest with Paddy in eternal peace

It’s with great sadness that we send our most heartfelt condolences to Peggy‘s family on her passing she was one exceptional person she contributed so much to the care of our family and care for the community of Ballycroy. She will be sadly missed by everyone but especially by our family, she was always so welcoming to our children when they come home for the summer holidays to Ballycroy when she worked in the post office and in Cleary’s shop, she couldn’t have been any better than she was to everybody. We are so sad over Peggy’s passing , she was a very good friend. Peggy was a selfless person who spent her life always putting others first. Her dedication and commitment to many voluntary organizations within parish of Ballycroy was exemplary and in particularly so with Ballycroy Social Services. She worked tirelessly on every project to ensure it was successful. Peggy was a very witty person and was loved by anyone who knew her. Her strength and determination at such a difficult time in her life never ceased to amaze us.
