How terribly sorry we all were on learning of the untimely death of Paul Hanley who was practically our neighbour. Paul was a first class gentleman to the hilt.
Paul had such a welcoming nature about him. A beautiful way of making all people welcome. He was involved in the hotel business and was a publican from a very young age.
Paul Hanley just didn’t pour drinks, he poured out beautiful warmth, friendships, with great conversations, he was the heart of any room. Liked by everyone, he will be terribly missed.
A memory takes me back, to when the Limited Draw was for our local Church in Crossboyne, where 100,000 thousand pounds was collected for the church, which was badly in need of repair.
Paul Hanley helped out so much with that big fundraiser. His generosity knew no bounds, bought several tickets, without an if or a but. He was just one beautiful person.
We send our sincere and heartfelt sympathy to Paul’s lovely wife Ann to his six precious daughters, to his adorable grandchildren, who Paul worshipped and adored. Sympathy going out to Paul’s sister Bernadette (Bernie) to his three brothers Niall, Martin and Michael, to all of his nephews, nieces, and to all of the extended Hanley and McGreal family’s neighbour’s and many friend’s on the very untimely death of Paul Hanley.

Paul was a very good friend to my dad and I am thankful to him for getting Peter Burke to spread his wings further than Crossboyne and Claremorris. I know the memories of those trips away will last forever.

It was with great sadness I heard of of Pauls sudden death.
My deepest sympathy to his wife Ann and his six lovely girls Karen, Jayne, Katie, Michelle, Nicole, and Jessica
of which he was extremly proud.
I first encountered Paul as wild young man when I carried out work in his fathers bar and bakery.
Many years later we travelled all over the country to see Mayo play with Ann and anyone who wanted to to travel with us.
The journey home would have many pit stops where fun and laughter were in abundance.
